Exterior Finishes
Old Mill Iron offers Powder Coating on all their outdoor iron projects. Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. Powder Coating creates a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.
Many different colors and finishes are available in powder coating.
Interior Finishes
Electrostatic Painting is a painting process that we use on our interior iron projects. This process allows our company the flexibility to paint quickly and effectively. Electrostatic Painting is a process of painting that uses negative and positive charge to adhere paint to a metal surface. The power from the electrostatic force is great enough that it can curl the paint around the corners, which ensures a nice smooth finish without drip marks.
